Web Design – The Power of Simplicity

web-designWhy Build or Redesign A Website?

Because websites drive sales and revenue. Because websites are the most efficient and cost-effective marketing tools you’ll ever use. Because they’re a 24/7/365 extension of you and your business.

A professionally built website looks great, generates leads, increases sales and serves as an information hub to clients – past, present and future. Think of your website as a salesperson who works 24 hours a day, never takes breaks, never gets sick, and never complains.

Your website should be seen as a multi-tool that generates revenue, handles customer service requests and shares information while you sleep. If that’s not happening, you’re missing out and losing money at the same time!

Why Hire A Professional Web Developer?

The same question applies to any other professional – each is an expert in their field and all can spare you time, trouble, and pain by addressing issues quickly and accurately the first time around.

Web Design is exactly the same – there’s a right way and the wrong way to approach any project. By hiring a professional, you skip the trial and error found with the low-cost DIY approach and jump straight to a solution that works for you and/or your business.

At DTD Media, I combine design, functionality, & marketing to provide businesses and individuals with solutions that generate phone calls and foot traffic. Providing all the elements are in place your website can save a bad year or make a good year great.

The Process From Concept To Launch

consultingConsultation – Once hired, we’ll meet over the phone or at a location of your choosing to discuss the project. I’ll ask several question about your business, your services, your competitors and past experience on the web. Next we’ll go over my design brief so that I have a clear understanding of your design expectations. Last, we’ll discuss our next steps and answer any question or concerns you have before I get started.

designDesign – Using the information from our first meeting and design brief, I’ll create a mock-up that will soon be the face of your new website. Once done, I’ll present the mock-up to you for approval. After everything is perfect and the design is approved, we’ll move on to the build your website.

codingThe Build – I “weave” the design created above into a fully-functioning website with all the bells and whistles your customers and clients will grow to love. Building your website is by far the most technical step in the process and usually takes the most time.

meetingFinal Meeting – Almost finished. Think of this as a “final walk through” where I’ll give you the tour. We’ll discuss any changes or tweaks to the design, review any functional aspects of the site such as contact forms or shopping carts and address any concerns. Once the changes are made and you’re happy it’s time to go live.

launchLaunch – This is where we introduce your new or redesigned website to the web. I do a bunch of techy things on my end, then I do a bunch of techy things on your end and then we remove the “Coming Soon” page and offically launch your website.

From your perspective the process is streamlined. You’re responsible for approvals and website content (text & images), I’m responsible for everything else. I always try to include you in the process as much as needed but not so much that your distracted from your day to day business.
